KS2 Schools, Local Programme - Aspirations/Welcome to the world of work
We have been supporting local schools with their Aspirations/Welcome to the world of work studies to give children aged 10-12 an insight into the world of work with an engineering spin.
The students have been extremely enthusiastic, well mannered and polite on their visits to Impact, where they have been given a fun and interesting presentation by Impact's managing directors, Nick and Vicky Ball, and a tour of the building, including offices, warehouse and test facility.
The students were introduced to various staff members througout the company and their roles were explained to them as well as daily tasks that they are expected to carry out.
Nick Ball carried out numerous material separation trials at the Test Facility to demonstrate to the students how valuable material from the waste stream can be recovered, reducing the amount ending in landfill.
